The Colosseum, in Rome, Italy, is as stunning as we thought it would be.

Outside the Colosseum lies the Arch of Constantine, a special monument in the elaborate and lengthy history of the Roman Empire.

The Roman Forum in Rome took us to the original heart of the Roman Empire.

Piazza Navona, one of Rome's finest public squares, was worth the visit.

We tossed a few coins into the magnificent Trevi Fountain in Rome, Italy.

One of the highlights of a trip through the Vatican Museums was this 3000 year old mummy from Egypt.

I don't know why we thought the exit stairwell from the Vatican Museums was worth a picture but you have to admit it's kind of neat.

St. Peter's Basilica at the vatican has to be seen to be believed. It would be hard not to be impressed - even if you weren't religous.

Inside St. Peter's Basilica, this stairwell leads down to the treasure box that holds the saints remains.
