My wife and I love to travel and see
new places. We prefer to backpack, but recently tried our luck with a
resort. Our travels have taken us through the richest and the poorest
places on earth, all in the pursuit of enjoying everything this
beautiful world and it's fascinating people have to offer.

It was
time to dig the backpacks out again, only this time, to head for
Europe. We spent four days in Switzerland and two and a half
weeks in Italy and loved almost every minute of it (if we didn't
both catch a cold!).
From the uber scenery
everywhere you look in Switzerland to the small medieval
countryside villages. The ringing of the cow bells. The smell of
fresh mountain air. The drive through the Swiss Alps from
Interlaken to Lugano was absolutely stunning and something I
will remember for the rest of my life.
Italy was equally as special
but in different ways. The food was terrible (if you can believe
it!) but the main sites were what we came for. From the gorgeous
Milan Duomo to Venice, through Florence, Tuscany and all of it's
corners, into ancient Rome, from memorable site to memorable
site, then on to Naples, ancient Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast and
to the top of Mount Vesuvious!
We took over 10 GB of pictures
and high resolution movies but have only posted some of the
highlights. Enjoy!
(Movies will probably work
best with a high-speed connection.)

USA West Coast
Road Trip |

Growing
up close to Detroit and Buffalo, our perspective on the USA was
limited and far from spectacular. Did that ever change quick!
After traveling through the vast array of scenic landscapes -
some of which make you drop your jaw in amazement - we can
clearly say that the USA is unique, vibrant and very lucky.
From vast deserts to
snow-capped mountains that take your breath away; From big
cities teeming with life to quiet, pristine canyons; From
non-stop action at Las Vegas to quiet drives up a dazzling
coastal highway; From gorgeous beaches to every natural wonder
encapsulated in a National or State park.
We covered 22 states and drove
more than 13,000 kilometers. In the USA, you can have it all -
and you'll enjoy every minute of it!

In April of 2005, we got out the 'ole backpacks and headed for the Cancun area of Mexico.
Mexico is a charm. We hopped from place to place and had an exceptional time the whole way through. |

Eminem Anger

In July of 2005, we left on a four day journey to see Eminem in concert at Indianapolis,
Indiana (yeah, we like Eminem - get over it!).
We had a blast! It was certainly worth the price of admission. The concert featured Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz, Ludacris, D12, Stat Quo, G-Unit, Obie Trice and of course Eminem with Proof. 50 Cent was unable to attend due to a movie shoot.
The set for Em was amazing, but it's hard to tell from these images. We took them on our cell phone. |

After wrapping up
the concert we headed north for Chicago, Illinois. Chicago is a
huge, messy place that seems to be endlessly under construction.
We saw the sights and toured
the town and left town with a strange taste in our mouth - not
bad, not good - just different. |

Watkins Glen is
better known as a Nascar racing town but it's equally as
charming for camping. We pitched a tent under the airy stars and
spent most of our time exploring the scenery nearby. It was
great! |

In May of 2003, we
spent two weeks at the Casa Del Mar resort in tiny Bayahibe, Dominican Republic.
The place was great, as was the
nearby fishing village. We took some tours and drove across the
country in a taxi seeking adventure and we certainly found it! |
